End of Year Screening: Carol

Women in Film & Television, Victoria (WIFT Vic) are saying a fond farewell to 2025 with a festive screening of Carol - exclusive for WIFT Vic members.

Based on Patricia Highsmith’s novella The Price of Salt about the burgeoning relationship between two very different women in 1950s New York. One, a girl in her 20s working in a department store who dreams of a more fulfilling life, and the other, a wife trapped in a loveless, moneyed marriage desperate to break free.

Carol has become a Lesbian cult classic, featuring an iconic performance from Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, and we can’t wait to watch it with you!

Morning tea will be provided before the screening - so make sure you’re there early for a coffee and a chat with other WIFT Vic Members.
